Shortly after my son was potty trained, I realized the need for this product. Now out of diapers, his pants that had once fit perfectly no longer stayed up… he was now also very independent and wanted to dress himself. After literally months of looking, both in retail outlets and online, I could not find what I was looking for – a functional, as well as fun and fashionable belt. Working casually in a local children’s consignment shop I quickly discovered that many parents were having the same challenge I was.

I decided I would visit a local Leathersmith and have one made. The Leathersmith could definitely make belts in his size, however, the belt buckles were too large for children’s belts. This inspired me to design small, bright, cut out designs that the kids could really have fun with.

These belts were designed with our children in mind… I hope you, and the children in your life, enjoy them as much as we do!
